Julie K. Gottlieb Joins Gartner as Vice President, Investor Relations

STAMFORD Conn., October 12, 2000 — Julie K. Gottlieb, 40, has joined Gartner Group, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) as vice president, Investor Relations, reporting to Gartner’s CFO Regina Paolillo.

Gottlieb joins Gartner from Playtex Products, Inc., where she was director of investor relations. At Playtex, she created, implemented and managed the company’s first comprehensive investor relations program. Prior to Playtex, Gottlieb was vice president and account group supervisor at The Financial Relations Board (now FRB-BSMG). Gottlieb began her career at Fidelity Investments and then served in increasing positions of responsibility at several financial services companies, including Aldrich Eastman & Waltch, Eaton Vance Corp. and Zurich Centre ReSource.
