| Gartner's Web Site-ings
Highlights Mobshop.com, Bostondine.com and Cartalk.com |

STAMFORD, CONN., July 21, 2000 — In its Web Site-ings feature at http://www.gartner.com this week, Gartner Group, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) revisits the question of whether all of the "three C's" — content, commerce and community — are really baseline requirements for great Web sites. Specifically, this week's Web Site-ings feature uses http://www.mobshop.com, http://www.bostondine.com and http://www.cartalk.com to illustrate the point that, in some cases, sites may not actually need all three C's to produce a truly great Web interaction experience.
