STAMFORD, CONN., October 16, 2001 -- Boise Cascade Office Products (BCOP) was awarded Gartner, Inc.'s (NYSE: IT and ITB) first CRM Excellence Award on September12, at Gartner's annual Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Summit 2001 in Orlando, Florida.
Gartner analysts selected Boise as the recipient of the award based on analyst evaluations and audience input during Gartner's CRM Summit. Boise was the company that most clearly demonstrated excellence in its CRM initiatives across multiple channels.
"Boise Cascade Office Products implemented its CRM initiative with a strong vision of how CRM would affect its brand, all of its people and the associated impact on ROI," said Claudio Marcus, research director of CRM and Business Technology at Gartner. "Its impressive implementation crossed all major functions and multiple channels including Web, sales force and both inbound and outbound call centers."
Gartner will honor its inaugural CRM Excellence Award recipient by making a donation in the name of BCOP to the City of Hope charity in the form of a weekend stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida, flights for two to Orlando, and dinner for two at the Hyatt Regency's signature restaurant "Hemingway's".
Gartner will offer the second CRM Excellence Award at the upcoming CRM Summit Spring 2002, being held March 4 - 62002 at the Sheraton Chicago in Chicago.
